What is SEO?

I´m sure you`ve heard the magic acronym “SEO”  –  what is SEO and why it`s so important? SEO means search engine optimization and it is a great way to increase the traffic to your website through organic search engine results.

Search engines (mainly Google)  are the primary method of navigation for most Internet users. This is true whether your site provides content, services, products, information, or just about anything else.  SEO also helps boost rankings so that content will be placed where searchers will more readily find it.

SEO tries to shape a website according to Google’s algorithm. Although Google’s algorithm remains secret, we have a pretty good idea about the important factors.

The factors in Google’s algorithm can be divided into two main categories:

On-page factors are all the things you can influence on your website. All kinds of technical aspects of your website are important for the chances of your website to rank in the search engines (WordPress is a rather SEO-friendly platform ) Also the structure of your website, the speed and the quality of the content of your site are important factors.

Off-page factors are the links to your site and the competition or the niche of your specific website. Off-page factors are obviously more difficult to influence.

Shortly: to get the best results, you shall focus on great user experience and technical quality and awesome and useful content.  In order to get the best results, you should focus on all these aspects.
